Choose Love

Updated: Mar 9, 2023

Are you aware of the patterns that emerge in your life? The stories that play out, over and over, perhaps with different people, perhaps with different details, but with the same energy behind them? Some call this karma. Some would say it’s a lessen that you must need to learn in order to release the story. The ‘lesson’ is to change yourself; change your thinking; love yourself. You are more powerful than you think.

So often, it takes some level of adversity for us to truly grow and be transformed. This being the case, it is our choice how we respond to adversity. We can choose to embrace it, to love it, and to use it as the tool that it is in our own personal or collective transformation and enlightenment. Or we can choose to suffer from it. Often the most difficult of these adversities can manifest via the three D’s – divorce, death or disease – but all sorts of things, no matter how big or small, can serve as the catalyst.

This is not to say that to have a spiritual awakening you must go through pain or suffering. This is absolutely not the case. However, for many of us, this is and will be the case. For though some may experience spontaneous enlightenment, many of us will need this push from the universe. It is a time in our lives when everything that we have previously identified ourselves with will fall apart, and in this void of meaning we finally begin to ask ourselves, ‘who am I?’ This phenomenon is often referred to as the ‘dark night of the soul’, and is a deep and profound process of transformation and re-emergence. It’s not an easy journey. Far from it. But if you can make it through the darkness, it is profound.

So, then, how do we embrace adversity? How do we use it for growth and transformation?

We learn to be in touch with ourselves. To acknowledge what triggers us when they arise, and use them to clear our emotional baggage, our karma, the programs, beliefs, patterns, and stories which are no longer serving us. And as we clear these triggers, everything, inside, and outside of ourselves, is also balanced and transformed.

Everything is vibration, including your thoughts. And these vibrations affect you, and those around you. Together we can reprogram your negative thoughts and emotions, both conscious and subconscious. Together we can learn to choose love. For those of you who may be experiencing this at this time, stay strong. Although it may not feel like it when you’re in the darkness, this too shall pass.
